With the end of 2017 approaching, it’s a good time to think about making a tax deductible donation to the Temple. Your charitable contribution can be made in cash, or in securities, like stocks and bonds. Donating securities is an easy process. Just complete the Anshai Emeth transfer form available from Sally or on the Temple’s website, and share it with your financial advisor to complete your gift request. If you have any questions about the form, we are happy to help you.
In addition, there is a highly beneficial contribution option for those age 70 ½ or older – a charitable contribution from your IRA. Such a donation could reduce gross income, is not subject to income taxes, counts toward the required minimum distribution (RMD), and is not included in the charitable deduction limitation. If this is of interest, please consult your tax and/or financial advisor about taking the next step. A document developed by Morgan Stanley with more information on this donation option is available for you in the Temple office.
