Our Leadership

Rabbi Robert Feinberg comes to Anshai Emeth with more than three decades of

experience, serving the Jewish community as a Navy Chaplain and Congregational

Rabbi. His journey has taken him to some unusual places, spanning the world from

Okinawa, Japan, to Naples, Italy. On special leave from the Navy, he was the

founding Rabbi of the first Progressive synagogue in the Former Soviet Union.

Recognizing that his previous experiences and strengths have focused on working

with congregations undergoing an inflection point in their stories, Rabbi Feinberg

decided to devote the next chapter of his career to the Interim Rabbinate. Having

completed the training program required by the CCAR, he is spending his first

Interim year with us, as we search for our next permanent Rabbi.

Ordained at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, he was admitted to the Central

Conference of American Rabbis in 1989. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from

Yale University, an M.B.A. from Temple University, and a Doctor of Ministry from

Drew University Theological Seminary.rfeinberg11
