Triple Crown After Party, a Murder Mystery Dinner – It’s Derby Day, but the real race is to catch a killer. Saddle up for an evening of mystery, mischief and mint juleps. Join us for a Kentucky Derby inspired meal and the opportunity to become a witness, suspect or sleuth! Invite some friends. $20 per person. Garage Sale! – This summer instead of a giant thrift sale at the temple, we’re encouraging everybody to unload your stuff at your own garage sales, group sales, online, through consignment shops, or in whatever method floats your boat, and donate the proceeds to Anshai Emeth. One group of several families plus a few neighbors is hosting a sale at 7100 N. Fox Point Dr in Peoria. Please come buy things and/or encourage people you know to buy things! End of Summer Picnic – A Jewish community-wide annual affair, sponsored by the Jewish Federation, Congregations Agudas Achim and Anshai Emeth, and Chabad. Join us at Detweiller Park for a late afternoon of hot dogs, salads and drinks, PJ Library fun, and games and activities for all ages. RSVP by August 17 to the Federation.
